Hey ya'll! You may already know one of my favorite things to do is check in with Spirit and the Ancestors for messages, healing insights, and new moon rituals we can call forth under the New and Full Moons. This Monday we have a new moon in Capricorn. This new moon is special to me, because it is also my boys' birthday! My twin boys will be turning 5! *cues moonwalk and disco dance* That being said, I was excited to meditate and receive this moon's downloads for us. Let's check in...
Under the New Moon in Capricorn, we are invited to embrace every facet of who we are: our dark feminine energy and our soft energy. This concept is new to me, but I've been studying the healing duality of living in both energies and the healing has been powerful! I used to work to be the "good girl," "nicest person," and "can-do attitude." Embracing my dark feminine side allows me to experience and be honest about ALL of my feelings and emotions. This energy gives me permission to speak up for myself, protect myself, and look to myself for leadership and wisdom. Dark feminine energy represents the powerful, shadowy aspects of our inner selves. It embodies mystery, resilience, sensuality, and the ability to face and transform through our deepest fears and emotions. This energy encourages us to stand unapologetically in our truth, embrace our flaws, and tap into our intuitive power. Think of it as the part of you that says, "I am whole in my darkness and my light."
Dark feminine energy often emerges when we confront what we fear or repress. It’s the voice that says, "You are enough," even when the world says otherwise. It’s the courage to let go of what no longer serves you and to pursue your desires unapologetically. This energy is sacred and transformational, urging you to honor your boundaries and explore your shadows without fear.
Soft energy, on the other hand, invites tenderness, compassion, and nurturing. This gentler side of strength fosters healing, rest, and connection. Soft energy reminds us that it’s okay to surrender, to feel deeply, and to care for ourselves and others without losing our boundaries. It’s the energy of being rather than doing, and of flowing with life rather than forcing outcomes.
When we integrate dark feminine energy and soft feminine energy, we step into a powerful and balanced version of ourselves—energy that is authentic, aligned, and unstoppable.
The new moon in Capricorn is allowing us to call in and welcome our inner warrior and nuturerer, our inner goddesses and mother: all working together to help us embody our truest selves.
Spirit’s message is clear: it's time for deep, authenticity. Not being nice, but being honest, clear, and solid. This step in our healing is the key to our growth, healing, and daily lives. It’s about being solid in all aspects of who we are, not just the parts others approve of.
Let’s dive into rituals, herbs, crystals, and movement practices to help us harness this energy.

Movement and Rest
Movement is more than exercise; it’s a form of meditation and a way to connect with yourself intentionally. Under the New Moon in Capricorn, approach movement as a sacred practice. Whether you’re engaging in dance, yoga, or a simple walk, allow your movements to flow with mindfulness and purpose. Focus on how your body feels and honor what it needs.
Rest with Intention
Sometimes, movement means stillness. If you feel called to rest, listen to that instinct. Resting with intention can be just as transformative as active movement. Allow yourself to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with your inner self.
Move with Purpose
If you’re drawn to try something new, like a pilates or dance class, do so to honor your body. Let your movements reflect your authenticity. Flow freely, letting go of judgment or perfection. Movement can help you ground yourself and release stagnant energy, making space for new intentions.
When we treat movement as a form of meditation, we integrate mind, body, and spirit, creating harmony and alignment within ourselves.
Rituals to Ground and Connect
Cleansing Your Space
Before beginning any ritual, cleanse your space to clear out stagnant or negative energy. Use sage, palo santo, or my Refresh Spray to create an inviting and sacred environment.
Candle Work
Get a white prayer candle (or any candle you have on hand). Dress it with the herbs listed above, and place a glass of water nearby. This represents the elements of fire, water, and earth, with air being the prayers or intentions you set. Light the candle and take a moment to center yourself, visualizing your intentions for authenticity and integrity. When using a 7 day candle enclosed in glass, I like to let me candle burn all the way down to give my intentions the chance to burn and work all the way through (especially for anyone working with Spirit guides or Ancestors). Feel free to light it when you're home only if that works better for your peace of mind, but be intentional when blowing it our and returning to light it. Don't treat it like your favorite scented candle. This is your healing we're talking about.
Herb Rituals
Tea: Brew a tea with peppermint and basil to support clear communication and grounding.
Bath: Create a bath with red root, burdock, and lavender for detoxification and relaxation.
Incense: Burn dried thyme or chamomile to invite calmness and clarity into your space.
Crystal Meditation
Hold your chosen crystal in your hands and meditate on its energy. Focus on the aspects of authenticity and communication you wish to embody. Visualize these qualities flowing into you as the crystal amplifies your intentions.
Journaling Prompts
What parts of me am I still repressing, hiding in shame, or protecting so others can't hurt?
What parts/aspects of myself are begging to be seen and free?
In what ways am I shrinking out of safety? Is it safety or someone else's limiting belief about me?
As we move into this New Moon and prepare for the new year, remember that you are not alone. Together, we can call in authenticity and integrity.
Thank you sweet Spirit and Ancestors for this inspiring message. I hope it blesses and motivates you yhe way it has for me.
Keep going, keep healing, and know that you are enough just as you are. Sending love and a big ole hug!
