Benefits of a Physical and Spiritual Reset

The Transformative Journey of a 25-Day Spiritual Reset


When I began my 25-day spiritual reset, I was feeling deeply called by my Ancestors. At first, I believed this call to fast was solely about improving my nutrition and clearing my body as a better channel for receiving divine messages. However, as I leaned into the process, I discovered it was about so much more—clarity, alignment, and transformation.

Setting Intentions for Your Spiritual Reset: A Sacred Beginning

Before starting, I asked my Ancestors for guidance, and they led me to set an intention. My prayer centered around gaining clarity in the relationships in my life. This reset became more than just a physical fast; it was a spiritual, emotional, and energetic cleanse.


I modeled my reset after the principles of the Daniel Fast but called it “Earth Eating.” My diet consisted of fruits, vegetables, beans, coffee, tea, and water. I completely eliminated meat, sugar, bread, dairy, and processed foods. Alongside this dietary shift, I performed a candle-working offering to my Ancestors and spirit guides. This sacred act set my intention and invited their support as I embarked on this reset.



Lighting a Candle for Your Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and Divine Source

Lighting a candle as an offering is a powerful way to honor your Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and God/Divine Source. It symbolizes illumination, guidance, and your intention to connect deeply.


Here’s a step-by-step guide to lighting a candle for this sacred purpose:

  1. Prepare Your Space:

    • Find a quiet, undisturbed area where you can focus fully. Clean the space if needed to ensure it feels sacred and welcoming.

    • Place the candle on a stable surface, such as an altar, table, or dedicated sacred space.


  2. Choose Your Candle:

    • Select a candle that resonates with your intention. For example, white candles symbolize clarity and divine connection, while yellow candles may represent wisdom and guidance.

    • Ensure the candle is unscented or infused with natural essential oils, as artificial scents can disrupt the sacred energy.


  3. Set Your Intention:

    • Take a moment to center yourself. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and focus on your intention.

    • Silently or aloud, state your prayer or request. For example, “I light this candle to honor my Ancestors and Spirit Guides. May this light illuminate my path, provide guidance, and align me with my highest purpose.”


  4. Cleanse the Candle:

    • Before lighting, cleanse the candle energetically by passing it through the smoke of sage, palo santo, or incense. This clears away any lingering energies.


  5. Light the Candle:

    • As you light the candle, visualize its flame carrying your intention to the spiritual realm. Imagine the light radiating love, clarity, and gratitude.


  6. Offer a Prayer or Affirmation:

    • Speak from the heart. Share your gratitude for their guidance, ask for support, or express your desire for clarity and alignment. Let your words flow naturally.


  7. Sit in Reflection:

    • Spend a few moments in meditation or silent reflection. Feel the presence of your Ancestors, Spirit Guides, or Divine Source around you.


  8. Let the Candle Burn Safely:

    • Allow the candle to burn fully if possible. If not, snuff it out gently (avoid blowing it out) and relight it later as you continue your offering and prayer.


  9. Close with Gratitude:

    • Thank your Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and Divine Source for their presence and guidance. Express your trust in their support as you move forward.




Elements of the Daniel Fast

The Daniel Fast is rooted in simplicity and whole foods, typically focusing on plant-based, natural ingredients. Below are the key elements:

  • Allowed Foods:

    • Fruits: Fresh, frozen, or dried fruits with no added sugar.

    • Vegetables: All types of fresh, frozen, or canned vegetables (without additives).

    • Whole Grains: Brown rice, quinoa, oats, barley, and other whole grains.

    • Legumes: Beans, lentils, chickpeas, and peas.

    • Nuts and Seeds: Raw, unsalted nuts and seeds.

    • Beverages: Water, herbal teas, and natural fruit or vegetable juices.


  • Foods to Avoid:

    • Meat and animal products.

    • Dairy products.

    • Processed foods and refined sugar.

    • Leavened bread (made with yeast, baking powder, or baking soda).

    • Coffee and alcohol (optional for some).



Recipe Ideas for the Daniel Fast

Here are some examples of meals you can enjoy during a Daniel Fast:

Breakfast:

  • Overnight Oats: Combine rolled oats with almond milk, chia seeds, and fresh berries. Let it sit overnight and top it with a drizzle of natural almond butter.

  • Smoothie Bowl: Blend frozen bananas, spinach, and mango with water or unsweetened almond milk. Top with sliced fruit, shredded coconut, and a sprinkle of chia seeds.

  • Fruit Salad: Mix seasonal fruits like oranges, apples, and grapes, and add a squeeze of fresh lime juice for extra flavor.


Lunch:

  • Quinoa Salad: Toss cooked quinoa with cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers, parsley, and a simple olive oil and lemon dressing.

  • Vegetable Soup: Make a hearty soup with sweet potatoes, carrots, celery, zucchini, and diced tomatoes seasoned with herbs like thyme and rosemary.

  • Lentil Wraps: Use a large lettuce leaf as a wrap, fill it with spiced lentils, shredded carrots, avocado slices, and a drizzle of tahini.


Dinner:

  • Stuffed Bell Peppers: Fill bell peppers with a mixture of black beans, corn, brown rice, and diced tomatoes. Bake until the peppers are tender.

  • Vegetable Stir-Fry: Sauté broccoli, snap peas, mushrooms, and carrots in coconut oil with garlic and ginger. Serve over brown rice or quinoa.

  • Sweet Potato and Chickpea Curry: Simmer sweet potatoes and chickpeas in coconut milk with curry spices. Serve with a side of steamed spinach or kale.


Snacks:

  • Raw veggies with hummus.

  • A handful of raw almonds or walnuts.

  • Apple slices with almond butter.

  • Roasted chickpeas seasoned with paprika and garlic powder.

Physical Transformation: A Clearer Vessel

The physical effects of this reset were undeniable. My body tightened up, and I experienced a new level of energy—steady and abundant. It was remarkable to witness how quickly and clearly I began receiving messages from Spirit. Dreams started coming to me with profound clarity, sometimes answering lingering questions or offering warnings about upcoming events. These messages often manifested within 24-48 hours, reinforcing my trust in this process.

One unexpected but welcome outcome was the deeper connection I developed with my body. As I ate only whole, unprocessed foods, I noticed how my body responded to different types of nourishment. Foods that didn’t agree with me became immediately apparent, as my body would swell or react negatively. I’ve learned to listen more intimately to my body, understanding what it truly wants and needs for fuel. This heightened awareness has brought me closer to my body’s natural rhythms and preferences, helping me honor it more fully.



Spiritual and Emotional Growth: Clarity and Manifestation

This reset wasn’t without its challenges. Early on, I battled intense sugar cravings, especially after celebrating my boys’ birthdays with cake and sweets. My body craved sugar in a way that felt almost primal. Yet, as the days went on, those cravings subsided. My body began to thrive on the simplicity of Earth Eating, and I no longer desired sweets. This shift symbolized more than just physical detox—it reflected a release of attachments and dependencies that didn’t serve me.

The most profound aspect of this journey has been the spiritual clarity and opportunities it attracted. I’ve received more bookings for readings and invitations to events than ever before. I truly believe this is a direct result of clearing my vessel, raising my vibration, and aligning my food, mindset, and lifestyle. This experience has shown me that healing is holistic—mind, body, and spirit must work in harmony.




Key Lessons: Healing as a Lifestyle

One of the biggest takeaways from this reset is the understanding that healing is an integrative lifestyle. Nutrition plays a crucial role in our overall well-being and vibration. Food is not just sustenance; it is medicine and energy. The intention behind what we consume matters deeply. By clearing my body, I also cleared space in my life for clarity, alignment, and manifestation.

This reset has been nothing short of life-changing. Even though I’m still a few days away from completing the 25 days, I already know I want to continue eating this way with small, intentional incorporations of chicken, salmon, and seafood. The weight I’ve lost has been a welcome bonus, but more importantly, my body feels like it has returned to its natural foundation. I feel strong, clear, and connected.

This journey has shown me that it’s never too late to prioritize yourself and your healing. You don’t have to wait for the new year or a special occasion. Take the time to clear your channel, lift your vibration, and experience the power of intentional living. Healing is a continuous process that requires harmony and integration of all aspects of life. When you align your mind, body, and spirit, you unlock your ability to manifest and attract opportunities like never before.
